Do we have to pay to go to MCSD?
No, MCSD Is free of charge.
Can non-USC students register for MCSD?
Most definitely! We encourage EVERYONE in the USC community to participate at MCSD. Please select “No USC affiliation” under the question asking for your USC Affiliation.
I am not a Marshall student, can I still participate?
Yes! All majors are welcome!
I am a USC student, can I bring guests that are not affiliated with USC?
Most definitely! They will have to register individually, but follow the instructions (to right) about group registration to ensure that you will be assigned to the same volunteer site.
I am a USC faculty/staff/alumni, can I bring guests that are not affiliated with USC?
Yes! We encourage our faculty, staff, & alumni to bring their guests (whether it be your spouse, children, colleagues, relatives, etc.). You will be taken to a “guest section” of the registration form to do so.
What is registering with a group?
If you want to volunteer as a group (of friends or representing an organization) and don’t want to be assigned to different sites, you should register as a group. To do so, complete these steps:
- Designate ONE member of your group to be the representative. You will be using this person’s E-MAIL to identify your group.
- Make sure ALL members of your group enter your representative’s e-mail when prompted.
- Your site preferences should all be theSAME. If they are different, your preferences will be based on what your representative ranks.
What does registering with a Marshall organization mean?
Registering with a Marshall organization is essentially the same as registering as a group. Indicating the student organization you are registering with is used to identify and group who is participating at MCSD on behalf of the organization.
If you are a member of a Marshall organization, you should be receiving word about registering with them. If not, ask the respective E-Board.
Are we required to register with a Marshall organization?
You are not required to register with a Marshall oragnization. If you are a member of any Marshall organization and would like to volunteer with them, you should register with the respective organization. You may decide you want to volunteer with your friends that may not be affiliated with the student organization you are in.
