MOVE membership...

... is designed to encourage USC students, specifically Marshall students, to gain insight in social issues, to engage in hands-on community service, and to discover various opportunities to give back, in order to understand the significant value and impact of social responsibility. MOVE membership is free and open to ALL USC students.

MOVE Membership Commitment

MOVE members are USC students who make and fulfill their MOVE membership commitment each semester. Members commit to:

1. Participate in at least 3 service or social-responsibility related events per semester:

  • At least 2 MOVE sponsored events
  • At least 1 event hosted by another USC organization

2. Participate in Marshall Community Service Day in the spring semester

MOVE sponsored events includes both events hosted by MOVE, as well as co-sponsored events with other Marshall organizations. Members will receive updates with upcoming Marshall sponsored events. MOVE highly encourages members to propose events and organization partnerships, and to participate more than the three required events!

Benefits of Membership

Members will be able to give back the local community, get to know other students, and learn about the importance of social responsibility beyond USC.

In addition, official members can:

  • Attend free or discounted social events
  • Receive a free MOVE T-shirt
  • Attend the MOVE year-end celebratory dinner
  • Receive recognition for their membership in the USC involvement transcript
